We are happy to announce the Global Masters Prise, a sizable new award for international students that will give you £10,000 to support your University of Birmingham studies in these truly historic times.

In order for the most talented students to reach their full educational potential, Birmingham has a long history of removing barriers to education.

Mission and benefits of University of Birmingham Master's Degree Scholarships Abroad

30 scholarships totalling up to £2,000 GBP will be awarded. The amount of this grant will be deducted from the remaining tuition fees for each successful scholar.

University of Birmingham Global Masters Scholarship Requirement Standards

All taught Masters programmes are eligible for this award, with the exception of those at the Birmingham Business School, for which separate MSc and MBA scholarships are offered.

The following conditions must be met by applicants in order to be qualified. Candidates must:

after submitting an application for a taught Masters degree at the University of Birmingham campus in the UK, I was offered admission to start my studies in the 2023–2024 academic year.

be classified as an international fee payer by the institution for the purpose of paying tuition.

Start your academic career at the university in September or October 2023 by enrolling in a full-time course being offered on the institution's campus in the UK.

For instance, the necessary minimum equivalent grade is as follows in the US, India, Nigeria, and China:

3.5 or higher in the US on a scale of 4.0.

In the Indian grading system, 70%

3.5 (out of 4.0), 4.5 (out of 5.0), or 6.2 (out of 7.0) on the Nigerian grading scale are acceptable.

A top-tier Chinese institution awarded a grade of 85%, and a mid-tier Chinese university awarded a grade of 90%.

Additionally ineligible for this scholarship are students obtaining a full scholarship or sponsorship from a separate internal or external source that pays the full cost of tuition. Some people might be able to combine this award with other scholarships to get partial benefits.

 Candidates may submit an application for this competitive scholarship by completing our online scholarship application form, which can be accessed by clicking the link below, if they meet the aforementioned eligibility requirements and have received and accepted an offer of admission to a Masters degree at Birmingham.

All qualified candidates will be given automatic consideration for this scholarship.

By the deadline noted on the offer you receive from the university's admissions office, you must formally accept the scholarship. You can accomplish this through the postgraduate portal.

You must pay the standard £2,000 (GBP) admissions deposit by the deadline provided by the Admissions Office in your offer letter in order to receive the scholarship in full. By August 31 at 23:59 UK time/ GMT+1, your deposit must be received in order to be taken into consideration for this scholarship selection process.
